I'm B(l)ack!!!

Right click on image for save options.

Who will win the MVP this year? (asked 1 month ago)

35% : LeBron + After an unexpected trip to the Finals (and being swept by TP and TD), the King will surprise us even more this season by adding a 3 to his weaponry. Did you see how efficient he was outside the arc during FIBA Americas? I just hope that the lack of adjustments made by the Cavs management won't affect LeBrons MVP campaign this season.

25% : Garnett + Come tipoff, all eyes will be on this team, who took a superstar from the dominating Westside to an NBDL-esque East division. He will definitely get bulk of Boston's inside points and of course, rebounds, but a 25-10 performance on a nightly basis may not be feasible for KG since outside points will be distributed to Pierce and Allen.

25% : Nash + He'll still be the Suns' captain. He can still execute faster than anyone in the hardcourt but how will he be able to control the internal issues surfacing within the core, named the Matrix? We'll see how far he can bring GM Kerr's ship for one final run to the Finals with an ailing back.

10% : Kobe + Some of us love Kobe, but his Haters outnumber us. The media leads the "No MVP for Kobe" campaign. And guess who votes for the NBA MVP? =)

and finally...

5% : David Stern + The Sternbot always, always wins...

33.3 3ptfg%, at ang nakakabilib, 2.6 TO in almost 40 minutes a game. **

Tula muna tayo...

Sa Pagtambay

I
May basag na naman
kagabi. Kasama ang ilang tuyong bulaklak
ng naghihikab pang bugambilya, hinakot ko
ang mga bubog. May pipilay-
pilay na pusang tumawid. Nakakainip.
Sana dumating na
ang pansit.

II
Nagbuhat din ako nang
bagong-lipat sila dito. Ngayon,
pinili kong ilabas
ang mga ipinasok ko rin noon. Halos
wala nang natira. Nang mag-isa kong itinawid
ang mesa sa pinto, napunit ang ngiti
ni Mayor sa posterAng mahalaga,
nakalusot.
Nakakapagod.

III
Paikot-ikot,
                        magkatalikod
ang mga askal, nais nang makawala
sa isa't-isa. Nagkasalubong
ang tatlong butiki sa abenida
ng pader. Hinihigop na ng sulok
ang mga anino. Pauwi na
silang lahat.

IV
May pusang
pisa sa gitna: pasador sa hiwa
ng daan. Marahil, huli na
niyang buhay.
Habang mahimbing ang matandang
poste, pinapatahan na rin ang videoke;
"Are you having fun yet?" Sandali na lang,
papatayin na si Sinatra.
Maagang magsasara ang bahay-
aliwan. Maaga-aga rin akong
                mag-aabang
muli,
sa pansitan.

Whats your 2008 NBA Western Conference playoff picture look like?

Basahin! Basahin!**
MIAMI - NOVEMBER 09: Steve Nash #13 of the Phoenix Suns tends to teammate Raja Bell #19 after Bell twisted his ankle in the fourth quarter against the Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena on November 9, 2007 in Miami, Florida. The Suns defeated the Heat 106-101. 1.Phoenix = Yeah! A playoff no-brainer for probably their final chance of getting The Ring. Despite Nash's unstable back plus Marion's recent primadonna-esque whining, i feel that they can still improve a step or two from their past 3 seasons *triple ouch*. With his explosiveness a nightly threat to whoever is defending him,it is high time for STAT to have a consistent perimeter shot as an alternate offensive tool. And Please, learn to co-exist with Diaw in the middle. If you're in midair and you realize that you can't finish with a monstrous dunk, just pass it to Boris. I'm sure, he's waiting just below the rim. (PS: I'm a Suns fan for life and i hate it when i hear that a valuable part of their core is demanding for a trade. I don't think Marion realizes how playing hoops without Nash would significantly affect his career. If he sticks with his demand, i expect GM Kerr to run after AK47, dump Marion off to Utah, and let the chase for The Ring be the factor and not the price of the paycheck. Nash deserves that Ring before he departs for Canada and starts teaching soccer tricks to his kids.)

2. Dallas = I expect Coach Avery to give the book "How to be a Vocal Leader without Ranting too much for Dummies" to Dirk before the season starts. Harris just got a contract extension, so i hope his numbers don't dip like some has-been ballers who thought that after signing a huge amount, they can start building their own record companies, take D for granted and contribute 6-1-2 on the floor nightly. Nonetheless, they're still the same team who can amaze us with 15-game winning streaks.

3.San Antonio = after staring at the monitor for over 10 minutes thinking of the first word to describe the Spurs' upcoming season, I came into a conclusion that the Spurs is the hardest NBA team to discuss about, which makes me feel really bad. Apart from their type of game, the Spurs are branded as "boring" because you can't really think of anything interesting about them aside from their leading final score at the end of almost every game, so they don't get too much hype, publicity and love from the media. Unless they start showing clips of the Parker-Longoria honeymoon during halftime, they're still the league's most boring team. Did i forget to mention that they're the defending champs?

4.Houston = Tmac is in good shape. Yao is still tallest in the league. Bonzi is expected to support their new coach by showing up sober. Luis Scola is onboard. And Rockets fans are coming up with a "Past the First Gates of Heavens" prayer for Tmac. I'll come up with my own and let's see if it works.
Denver Nuggets' Allen Iverson drives the lane around New York Knicks Nate Robinson (4) and David Lee in the third quarter during NBA basketball action Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Iverson scored 32 points, but the Knicks won 119-112.

5. Denver = last season, they ended their final 20 games with a 17-3 record. With Melo and A.I. doing the offensive damage all over the floor, and the rest accepting some dirty, finishing works, this team could do damage to superior teams. I love their fastbreak. So is the team's composure. Thanks to General Karl. Too bad Stern kinda snapped Melo's great start last season.

6.Utah = I get dissappointed when someone's talents eat a part of his personality. Too much ego within this superb team. Egoistic players. Egoistic Coach. If they can't fix the whole AK-Sloan issue behind closed doors, the management may just as well fire them both. Or they can just trade Boozer and Deron to a different team. Why? So that i don't have to put them on this list of teams who will reach playoffs. Yes, they will reach the playoffs (unless they take my last suggestion seriously).

7.Golden State = With the loss of a consistent, versatile gunner in J-Rich, the Warriors' chances in getting a playoff spot is actually slimmer this 07-08 compared to the last season. But with Barnes, Ellis, Biedrins and Jackson ready to do their uptempo game, and with overflowing confidence from their exciting playoffs experience, this team still gives me the reason to "believe". And yes,i believe in Marco Belinelli.

8. Los Angeles/New Orleans = I can't seem to lock up Kobe on this last spot (and when i say "Kobe", it means the whole team. I won't argue if he suddenly demands to change the team's name to L.A. Bryant or L.A. Black Mambas.). I respect Kobe. I love him as an individual talent, and i praise what he can do on the hardcourt, but he can't blame any L.A. fans if they start considering his numerous publicity stunts as an excuse for his unability of getting past the playoff's 1st round. Three years without Shaq. Three years should be enough to prove Kobe's point (I can't buy his "my-teammates-are-not-good-enough-for-me... excuse. They should be good enough. They are NBA players after all. If not, then be a leader. Make them better. That's what a team's leader do. Don't limit your appreciation for them by giving them a high-five only after converting one of your passes. Love them, both through wins or losses. Kobe can call Nash for a crash-course on this one.). But i'll give him a chance. A last chance for Kobe. If he starts the season without a single pass to a waiting Odom in the middle of the key, i'll give the last spot to the Hornets and The Kid, Chris Paul. I haven't had the chance to watch his game, but after looking at his stats last season before he got injured (17.3p, 8.9assists, 4.4rebs,1.8stls), i have a feeling that this is his year. They better start showing more of N.E.'s games on ESPN. He is the league's future.

**The last two spots may change after each team's first 10 games. It would be interesting to see Durant taking his role as Seattle's anchor and playing in the post-season, watching him play on a different atmosphere and showing us how cold blooded he really is. Memphis may get there, but they need to stop relying on their European type of basketball. I know how team-oriented the plays are, but they are way too predictable in the NBA.**
**UPDATES**
Bow.
